The Chillicothe Hornets's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Barstow Knights at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Chillicothe knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Barstow likes a good challenge.
Chillicothe can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They really took it to East Buchanan for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-19 victory on the road. With Chillicothe ahead 40-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Chillicothe's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Liz Oliver, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Oliver has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayanna Cranmer, who scored 13 points along with five assists and two steals.
Meanwhile, Barstow lost to Summit Christian Academy on the road by a decisive 48-33 margin on Tuesday.
Chillicothe pushed their record up to 10-1 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Barstow, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
