After flying high against the Toppenish Wildcats on Thursday, the Nooksack Valley Pioneers came back down to earth. Nooksack Valley lost to Quincy on the road by a decisive 62-48 margin on Friday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Quincy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Pierce Bierlink, who scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of julian Ibarra, who scored 20 points.
Nooksack Valley's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3. As for Quincy, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-4.
Nooksack Valley will take on Friday Harbor at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Friday Harbor will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 260th, while Nooksack Valley is ranked 111th). As for Quincy, they will head out on the road to face off against Chelan at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
