Box Elder is 1-8 against Bear River since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Bees will venture away from home to take on the Bears at 3:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Box Elder 2.1, Bear River 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Box Elder will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Woods Cross on Tuesday. The Bees never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 19-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Bees, who have now won 11 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Lucy Braegger looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Alexis Hales was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jenna Marble, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Box Elder kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Bear River entered their tilt with Ridgeline on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Riverhawks.
Kate Wilson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aubree Fry, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Londyn Gamble, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Bear River pushed their record up to 15-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Box Elder, their record now sits at 13-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Box Elder has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bear River struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
