Volleyball Recap: Glenbard East Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Belle Mcdermott and Jess Larson

Glenbard East's tournament run continued when they took on Belleville East on Friday. The Rams fell 2-0 to the Lancers. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Glenbard East had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18.

Glenbard East's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jess Larson, who had eight digs, and Belle McDermott, who had seven kills, six digs, two blocks, and two aces. McDermott is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least six every time she's taken the court this season.

Glenbard East's loss dropped their record down to 11-20. As for Belleville East, their victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-5.
