The Foothill Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Fairfield Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Foothill's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
Last Monday, Foothill humbled Armijo with a 79-39 victory. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 460th, while the Royals are ranked 1199th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tomari Harris continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 for 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 30 points and six rebounds. Those 30 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Landi, who went 5 of 8 en route to 13 points.
Foothill was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Fairfield on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Florin out of the water with a 61-25 final score. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Falcons had established a 29 point advantage.
Fairfield's win came from a few key players Foothill will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Davion Johnson, who posted eight points along with 11 boards and four steals. Fairfield is 13-1 when Johnson posts eight or more rebounds, but 3-4 otherwise. Johnnie Jones was another key player, going 5 for 8 on his way to 11 points and five boards.
Foothill has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Fairfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-5.
Keep an eye on the arc in Wednesday's game: Foothill has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 42.4% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Fairfield, though, as they've only made 23.2% of their three-pointers this season. Given Foothill's sizable advantage in that area, Fairfield will need to find a way to close that gap.
Foothill came up short against Fairfield in their previous meeting on January 8th, falling 60-52. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Jones, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. Now that Foothill knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
