Lockwood won the last time they faced Jefferson Independent Day and things went their way on Monday too. The Lockwood Tigers secured a 59-54 W over the Jefferson Independent Day Cavaliers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Jefferson Independent Day lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jack Twiss, who went 7 of 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 28 points. The contest was Twiss' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kohl Thurman, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

Lockwood's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Jefferson Independent Day, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Lockwood Tigers duke it out with the Greenfield Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jefferson Independent Day, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Jasper at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
