The Reed Point/Rapelje Renegades and the Roberts Rockets will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Reed Point/Rapelje is hoping to put an end to a 12-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Saturday, Reed Point/Rapelje came up short against Absarokee and fell 37-27. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Reed Point/Rapelje has scored all season.
Despite their loss, Reed Point/Rapelje saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Landen Bryant, who scored eight points along with three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Marshall Ulmer was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Reed Point/Rapelje struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Roberts' four-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They blew past Fromberg 67-43. Roberts' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Reed Point/Rapelje's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Roberts, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
Things could have been worse for Reed Point/Rapelje, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-43 loss to Roberts when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Reed Point/Rapelje avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
