Brooke Point is 2-8 against North Stafford since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Brooke Point Black Hawks will head out on the road to challenge the North Stafford Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Brooke Point's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Monday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Riverbend, falling 65-29. While losing is never fun, Brooke Point can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 346th, while Riverbend is ranked 126th).
Despite the defeat, Brooke Point saw an underclassman step up: Chloe Williams scored 11 points. Williams continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Anaya Nation, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, North Stafford came up short against Riverbend on Friday and fell 54-46.
Brooke Point has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for North Stafford, their loss dropped their record down to 14-10.
Brooke Point suffered a grim 57-33 defeat to North Stafford in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of North Stafford's Destinee Salgado, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.
