While it was all tied up 15-15 at halftime, the Buckeye Bucks were not quite the Garfield Community Learning Center Golden Rams's equal in the second half on Monday. Buckeye took a 36-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Garfield Community Learning Center. Buckeye has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Bucks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Molly Danilovic, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kwynn Czerwony, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Buckeye's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Garfield Community Learning Center, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buckeye will take on Lutheran West at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lutheran West presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Buckeye in Ohio (Lutheran West is ranked 375th, while Buckeye is ranked 751st). As for Garfield Community Learning Center, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Firestone at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
