Dayton/Waitsburg fell to White Swan 29-30 the last time the two teams met; this time around, they exacted some revenge. Dayton/Waitsburg blew past White Swan 38-6. Dayton/Waitsburg were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Dayton/Waitsburg got off to a slow start in their previous match, but they had no such trouble against White Swan and cruised to a 22-point first half. Meanwhile, White Swan couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 22-0 heading into the break. The Dayton/Waitsburg defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the matchup. The win bumped their record up to 1-2. White Swan are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3.
Dayton/Waitsburg will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Medical Lake. White Swan will stay at home against Kittitas/Thorp at 7:00 PM.
