The Diboll Lumberjacks will take on the Little River Academy Bumblebees at TBD on Friday. Diboll is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.
With a playoff game on the line, Diboll rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past Buna 48-20 on the road. Diboll might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five games by 23 points or more this season.
Meanwhile, even though Hitchcock scored an imposing 36 points on Thursday, Little River Academy still came out on top. Little River Academy managed a 42-36 victory over Hitchcock. The victory was just what Little River Academy needed coming off of a 49-28 loss in their prior match.
Little River Academy relied on the efforts of Kasey Mraz, who rushed for 106 yards, and Cavalli Nealy, who rushed for 77 yards and three touchdowns.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 9-2.
Diboll came out on top in a nail-biter against Little River Academy in their previous matchup back in November of 2021, sneaking past 37-34. Does Diboll have another victory up their sleeve, or will Little River Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
