Vandalia Christian secured a 40-36 W over Union Grove Christian on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Vandalia Christian also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Union Grove Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Klaira Cromer, who scored 14 points along with five assists and three steals. Cromer has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sara Long, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Vandalia Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Union Grove Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-11.
Vandalia Christian will head out on the road to square off against Triad Baptist Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Union Grove Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gospel Light Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
