The Forest Hill Patriots lost against the Hattiesburg Tigers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Forest Hill took a 46-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hattiesburg. While losing is never fun, Forest Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while Hattiesburg is ranked 15th).
It was another big night for Logan Burns, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds for Hattiesburg. Another player making a difference was Tristen Keys, who scored ten points.
Forest Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Hattiesburg, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 24-2.
Forest Hill will be playing at home against Jim Hill at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hattiesburg, they will head out on the road to square off against Petal at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hattiesburg is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.7 points per game this season.
