Los Altos moved up to 728 from 891 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in El Camino. The Eagles were able to move up by beating Mountain View 32-14.
Homestead and Carlmont played the closest game in the league this week, with Homestead eventually emerging with a 23-19 victory. Derek Rositas ran for 171 yards during the win.
Los Altos' dynamic duo of Christopher Lanman and Victor Ruiz proved tough for the Spartans to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Lanman threw for 235 yards and 2 touchdowns and Ruiz had 121 yards receiving. Patrick McColl helped Los Altos' passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 66 yards.
Trevor Pruitt's team's dynamic duo of Lanman and Ruiz proved to be unstoppable against Mountain View, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Lanman put up the best numbers through the air as the Eagles beat the Spartans.
Justin Cena was the best running back in the league this week. In 33 carries, he ran for 184 yards as Monta Vista beat Mountain View. William Major also contributed to the rushing game with 42 yards on the ground.
Ruiz was the best wideout in El Camino this week as the Eagles bested the Spartans.
Los Altos' Lanman and Ruiz have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Lanman has thrown for 319 yards this season, while Ruiz, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 10 catches for 213 yards. The Mustangs' Rositas leads the league in rushing yards with 534.
Gunn fell to Capuchino 35-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Noah Riley threw for 74 yards in the defeat.
