Carmel gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Wauconda Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The Corsairs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Carmel easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-21.

When it comes to explaining why Wauconda lost, don't look at Gabriella Lichon. Despite the final result, she had nine digs and two aces.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carmel will challenge Antioch at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wauconda, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Richmond-Burton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
