It was a good run, but the Enterprise Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Union by a score of 48-45. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Enterprise in their matchups with Union: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Whitley Harris, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was emma hill, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Union to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kylee Madden, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rymia Craft, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Enterprise's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-9. As for Union, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Enterprise will take on Kemper County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Kemper County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Enterprise in Mississippi (Kemper County is ranked 108th, while Enterprise is ranked 226th). As for Union, they will head out on the road to square off against Sebastopol at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
