The Loretto Mustangs will be playing at home against the Richland Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Loretto earned a 52-40 victory over Lincoln County. Given Loretto's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Lincoln County is ranked 158th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ally Weathers continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Loretto's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Libby Sanders, who scored 6 points.
Meanwhile, Richland put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against East Robertson by a score of 48-38.
Their wins bumped Loretto to 3-1 and Lincoln County to 3-4.
Everything came up roses for Loretto against Richland in their previous matchup back in February as the squad secured a 66-32 win. Will Loretto repeat their success, or does Richland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
