On Friday Pickens take on Travelers Rest at Pickens HS at 7:30 PM. Pickens is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight.
While not quite a landslide, the match between Pickens and Liberty last week was still a pretty decisive one as Pickens wrapped it up with a 18-0 victory. Senior Jarod Barton, who rushed for 156 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Pickens's success.
Meanwhile, Travelers Rest were fully in charge, breezing past Ware Shoals 49-0. With Travelers Rest ahead 42-0, the game was all but decided by halftime.
Their wins bumped Pickens to 1-2 and Travelers Rest to 3-0. While both teams are coming in off of wins, only one will triumph this week. Who will it be ? Check back in with MaxPreps after the game is over for details.
