South Gate has won four straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Garfield has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Rams will host the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. South Gate knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Garfield likes a good challenge.
On Friday, South Gate didn't have too much trouble with Bell as they won 34-19. The Rams pushed the score to 34-13 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.
South Gate's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Gonzalez, who threw for 232 yards and two TDs on only 17 passes. The Rams' leading receiver Nicholas Fonseca was Gonzalez's top target yet again, picking up 120 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Garfield). They took down South East 45-30 on Friday. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly 15 points.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Angel Jimenez and Mario Nunez. Jimenez rushed for 102 yards and one touchdown on only five carries while Nunez rushed for 59 yards and one TD.
Garfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 386 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.
Garfield's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for South Gate, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-2.
