Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Faith Christian Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 15 on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-6. They were outmatched by the Mead Hall Episcopal School Panthers and fell 72-42. The Eagles were down 64-38 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, Faith Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Riley Anderson, who posted 27 points. The contest was Anderson's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Hagen Williams, who had seven points.

As for Mead Hall Episcopal School, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Mead Hall Episcopal School found their leader in sophomore Justin Bowdre, who dropped a double-double with 34 points and 15 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bowdre has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Marlee Baker, who scored 13 points and six rebounds.

Coming up, Faith Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against First Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.2 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mead Hall Episcopal School, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Community Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
