Pleasant Grove waltzed into their matchup on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Sheldon Huskies. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Huskies back in April, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.
Madeline Lawson made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off ten hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
