The Tremont Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They took a 37-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mantachie. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tremont in their matchups with Mantachie: they've now lost four in a row.
Tremont's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Saige Black, who scored 12 points, and Paige Gillespie who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Tremont has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for Mantachie, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-15.
Tremont will take on Wheeler at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Wheeler focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Thursday. Mantachie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
