The Tyler Knights suffered their biggest defeat since December 5, 2023 on Thursday. They were dealt a 77-35 defeat at the hands of Cameron. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tyler in their matchups with Cameron: they've now lost nine in a row.
Despite the defeat, Tyler saw an underclassman step up: Ryland Henderson scored 11 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Alexis Livingston, who scored six points.
Tyler has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Cameron, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tyler will challenge Magnolia at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Magnolia is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Cameron won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Wheeling Park at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Wheeling Park will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
