When it comes to explaining why Prairie View lost, one person who can't be blamed is Paige Walker. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. Walker's trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for three games straight. Celicia Robles was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five assists and two steals.
Prairie View struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
It was another big night for Olivia Mortensen, who scored 32 points along with seven rebounds and five assists for Legacy. That makes it four consecutive games in which Mortensen has scored at least a third of Legacy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Meghan Allshouse, who scored 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Prairie View's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-8. As for Legacy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-10.
