Excelsior Classical Academy had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the nine-goal drubbing they dealt Emerson Waldorf on Thursday. The Flying Lions' defense stepped up to hand the Gnomes a 9-0 shutout. Considering Excelsior Classical Academy have won six matchups by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Emerson Waldorf from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal. Kader Contreras led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.
