Atlanta Girls' School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Libby Knott led the charge by scoring 23 points along with four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Knott has scored at least a third of Atlanta Girls' School's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Sanderson, who scored four points along with 14 rebounds.
Atlanta Girls' School's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. As for Cristo Rey Atlanta, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atlanta Girls' School will take on Fulton Science Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fulton Science Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 529th, while Atlanta Girls' School is ranked 228th). As for Cristo Rey Atlanta, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Dominion Christian at 1:30 p.m. on January 27th. Dominion Christian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
