The Freeman Scotties will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Logos Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Freeman scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 70-45 margin over Liberty. The result was nothing new for Freeman, who have now won three games by 25 points or more so far this season.
Freeman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Colton Wells, who scored 21 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Wells has scored at least 25% of Freeman's points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Grant, who scored 17 points.
Meanwhile, Logos waltzed into their match last Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 49-40 win over Troy. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Logos has scored all year.
It was another big night for Jack Driskill, who scored 15 points along with five steals. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Seamus Wilson, who scored ten points along with seven assists.
The victory makes it two in a row for Freeman and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for Logos, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
