Adding to the longest winning streak in Pocket this week, Gibson Southern beat Southridge 31-21. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Titans.
Tell City took down Forest Park 47-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Elliott Brown ran for 286 yards in the win.
Pike Central's dynamic duo of Chase Eaton and Kegan Aldridge proved to be unstoppable against North Posey, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Eaton threw for 264 yards and 3 touchdowns and Aldridge had 116 yards receiving. Dakota Walker helped Pike Central's passing attack out by catching 7 balls for 101 yards.
Brown was a force in the backfield as the Marksmen beat the Rangers.
Gibson Southern's Nick Sellers and Griffin Scheller led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Sellers has thrown for 1,818 yards this season, while Scheller has 17 catches for 501 yards. Brown from Tell City leads the league in rushing with 1,723 yards.
Going into this week's game against Vincennes Lincoln, Nick Hart's team's Sellers needs 182 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.
At the moment, the Raiders are in second, while Ryan George's team is in fourth.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Southridge takes on the Marksmen. Scott Buening's team has allowed 113 points this season, while Tell City has given up 121. The Raiders allowed 31 points last week as they lost to the Titans.
