Basketball Recap: Bruce Randolph Skates Past Sheridan with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bruce Randolph). They really took it to the Sheridan Rams for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-39 victory. With the Grizzlies ahead 47-20 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Leading Bruce Randolph to victory were Daniel Toress and Ke'Vaughn Cassias. Toress posted 22 points along with five boards and three steals, while Cassias almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. Charles Huff was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

Bruce Randolph was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bobby Garcia, who earned 15 points and seven boards. Garcia is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Zavion Bell, who put up six points and seven rebounds.

Bruce Randolph's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-5. As for Sheridan, their loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Bruce Randolph has already played their next contest, a 62-51 victory against Robert F. Smith STEAM Academy on the 10th. As for Sheridan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-50 win against Jefferson on the 13th.
