On Thursday, United Faith Christian Academy blew past Lab University Prep, posting a 74-32 victory on the road. The victory was all the more spectacular given United Faith Christian Academy's disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while Lab University Prep is ranked 20th).
Several Lab Rats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Makayla Minshall , who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Dumler, who scored nine points.
United Faith Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Lab University Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
United Faith Christian Academy will finish 2023 at home by hosting Hickory Ridge at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lab University Prep is on the road again on Saturday and play against Northside Christian Academy at 3:30 p.m. on December 30th. Northside Christian Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.7 points per game.
