Schuylkill Haven is 9-1 against Nativity BVM since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Hurricanes are taking a road trip to square off against the Green Wave at 4:30 p.m. Nativity BVM took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Schuylkill Haven, who comes in off a win.
Schuylkill Haven barely beat Shenandoah Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hurricanes blew past the Blue Devils 14-2 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Hurricanes in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won five in a row.

Alan Evans was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last two contests. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Lane Yoder was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Landon Trostle, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Schuylkill Haven always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shenandoah Valley only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Nativity BVM was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Williams Valley. That's two games in a row now that the Green Wave have lost by just one run.
Nativity BVM saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was TREY KEATING, who went 2-for-4 with one double.
Nativity BVM's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Schuylkill Haven, their record now sits at 8-5.
Schuylkill Haven skirted past Nativity BVM 4-2 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hurricanes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
