Football Recap: Center Skates Past Brownsboro with Ease

Center won the last time they faced Brownsboro and things went their way on Thursday too. The Roughriders really took it to the Bears for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-22 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Roughriders just coasted through the last quarter.

Leading Center to victory were Jeremy Bluford and Easton Wulf. Bluford rushed for 179 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries, while Wulf rushed for 84 yards and three TDs on only nine carries. Bluford has become a key player for the Roughriders: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 0-3 otherwise. Bracadon Robinson made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Center didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Robinson, Cody Adkinson, and Gage Vidrine picked up one apiece. Robinson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win made it two in a row for Center and bumps their season record up to 4-4. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-7 Brownsboro and 3-4 Bullard. As for Brownsboro, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
