The Polson Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to Corvallis. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Polson's loss came despite strong showings from Cason Graham and Anthony Lichtenberg. Graham scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Lichtenberg scored 16 points. Jesse Vail was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Polson's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Corvallis, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Polson and Bigfork will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Corvallis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
