The Lovejoy Wildcats just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Forest Park Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Lovejoy and nine for Forest Park dating back to last season.
Lovejoy's 26-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 37-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jonesboro on Monday. While losing is never fun, Lovejoy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 348th, while Jonesboro is ranked 140th).
Meanwhile, Forest Park's 19-8 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They had to suffer through a rough 76-38 loss at the hands of Morrow.
Lovejoy's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Forest Park, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-6.
Lovejoy barely slipped by Forest Park in their previous meeting back in February, winning 44-43. Does Lovejoy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Forest Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
