If the Live Oak Acorns were feeling good  off their  73-30 takedown of the James Lick Comets on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Live Oak suffered a  rough 68-48 defeat at the hands of Pioneer  on Saturday. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Live Oak in their matchups with Pioneer: they've now lost six in a row.
 Despite the loss, Live Oak still got an impressive performance from   Austin Jennings, who  scored 25 points. Jennings scored a full 52.1% of Live Oak's points, the fifth time in a row he's  earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Keaton Dietz, who  scored six points along with five  rebounds.
 Live Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Pioneer, the  win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
 Live Oak will be home for the holidays to greet  Mt. Pleasant at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Pioneer, they will head out on the road to face off against Gunn at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Gunn will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
