The Neah Bay Red Devils gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 90-16 victory over Crosspoint. With Neah Bay ahead 60-11 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Leading Neah Bay to victory were Tyler Swan and Makyah Chambers . Swan dropped a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds, while Chambers scored 28 points along with five assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of CJ Halttunen, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Neah Bay's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Crosspoint, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Neah Bay will take on Forks at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Crosspoint, they will be playing at home against Northwest Yeshiva at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Northwest Yeshiva is ranked 315th, while Crosspoint is ranked 306th).
