After losing to the Stone Tomcats the last time they met, the Picayune Maroon Tide decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Picayune managed a 47-43 win over Stone on Saturday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Picayune to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rhyen Goss, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds. Goss hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Amiya Graves was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Picayune's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Stone, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Picayune will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pass Christian at 6:00 p.m. Pass Christian is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Stone, they will head out on the road to face off against Lumberton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
