Oakdale is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Sunbright 20-2 on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Eagles with their most commanding win of the season.
Blair Summers was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, six RBI, and three runs. She also hit two doubles, marking her first of the season. Rilee Goodson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI.
Oakdale hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters every time they've taken the field this season.
Loudon hit Midway with a four-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Green Wave lost 7-1 to the Redskins.
Midway saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daylee Edwards, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
Oakdale's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Midway, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
Midway's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Oakdale hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .637. It's a different story for Midway, though, as they've only averaged .161. Will they be able to contain Oakdale's hitters?
Oakdale was able to grind out a solid victory over Midway in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, winning 5-2. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Green Wave have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
