Luke Otte Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Nebraska Lutheran had to settle for second even though Luke Otte put up the best numbers he has all season. Otte picked up 114 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making nine total tackles (1.0 for loss).
This season, Otte has caught 4 touchdowns while averaging 54 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 7.33 receiving yards per game.

White Posts Huge Game in 61-14 Defeat
While Blaydon White delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Giltner. White was unstoppable, rushing for 60 yards and a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards.
Giltner is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6. White and Giltner will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lawrence-Nelson at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Wyatt Frey stepped things up a notch to give Lawrence-Nelson the 'W'. Frey was dynamite, throwing for 31 yards and a touchdown.

Lawrence-Nelson was led to victory by Jackson Williams, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Williams rushed for 96 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. He is becoming a predictor of Lawrence-Nelson's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

Rounding off our Top Five is Gage Friesen of High Plains. Friesen rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.
