They took down Aspen 49-30. Given Roaring Fork's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while Aspen is ranked 296th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Roaring Fork got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Carly Crownhart out in front who scored 14 points along with five assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lelaney Gardesani, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Roaring Fork is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Aspen, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roaring Fork will take on Olathe at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Roaring Fork is coming into the matchup with seven straight victories at home, meaning Olathe will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. Aspen will take on North Fork at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
