After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Choate Rosemary Hall School, Trinity-Pawling School was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Kent School Lions. The high-scoring effort was just what the Pride needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.
Alex Cruz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Cruz was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Luc Bush was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and one run. Manny Carreras was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
The victory got Trinity-Pawling School back to even at 1-1. As for Kent School, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
