Isabella has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against The Woodland Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Isabella was able to grind out a solid victory over Vincent, taking the game 35-28.
It was another big night for Elijah Kendrick, who rushed for 130 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 100 yards and a touchdown while completing 83.3% of his passes.
Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last match, Woodland made sure to put some points up on the board against Fayetteville last Thursday. Woodland walked away with a 35-27 win over Fayetteville.
Woodland's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bradley Brasher, who picked up 123 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Brasher was no stranger to the big play, connecting with a big catch that went for 65 yards. David Noles and his 100 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Woodland's victory.
Isabella has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Woodland, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
Everything came up roses for Isabella against Woodland in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 48-14 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Isabella since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
