Holbrook entered their tilt with Monument Valley with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Holbrook enjoyed a cozy 65-46 win over Monument Valley on Saturday. Given Holbrook's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while Monument Valley is ranked 255th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tyler Tapaha continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. Chase Salabye was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Meanwhile, Payson strolled past Globe with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 65-47.
Holbrook has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Payson, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-7.
