The Wellsboro Hornets were the 46-45 winner over the Montoursville Warriors when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Wellsboro took a 64-46 bruising from Montoursville on Monday.
Montoursville had a senior duo take command as Bryce Eberhart scored 12 points along with 6 assists and Quinn Ranck scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Jimmy Mussina, who scored 9 points.
Wellsboro's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Montoursville, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Wellsboro will head out on the road to face off against Sayre at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Montoursville, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Jersey Shore at 7:30 p.m.
