Archbishop Alter has gone 9-1 against Archbishop McNicholas recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Archbishop Alter Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the Archbishop McNicholas Rockets at 12:30 p.m. Archbishop Alter has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Archbishop Alter is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Goshen: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Archbishop Alter blew Goshen out of the water with a 63-26 final score. That 37 point margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.

Meanwhile, Archbishop McNicholas was able to grind out a solid win over Chaminade Julienne Catholic on Wednesday, taking the game 45-37. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Rockets' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Eagles are ranked 25th).

Archbishop Alter's record is now 12-7. As for Archbishop McNicholas, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-8.

Archbishop Alter didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Archbishop McNicholas when the teams last played on January 4th, but they still walked away with a 56-52 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Archbishop Alter since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
