The San Dieguito Academy Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by El Camino at home and fell 83-36. San Dieguito Academy has struggled against El Camino recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
El Camino's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Logan Ardent, who scored 13 points. The contest was Ardent's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brandon Boone, who scored 12 points.
San Dieguito Academy bumped their record down to 4-11 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.9 points per game. As for El Camino, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Dieguito Academy will take on Torrey Pines at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Torrey Pines focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday. As for El Camino, they will be playing at home against Sage Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sage Creek knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully El Camino likes a good challenge.
