The biggest upset of the week belonged to Hattiesburg, who took down 46th ranked Harrison Central, 14-10. Tristen Walley threw for 130 yards and ran for 41 yards in the win.
Gulfport was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fifth to second in 6A Region 4. Earlier in the week, the Admirals triumphed over St. Martin 35-21.
Damon Walmon was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Tigers bested the Red Rebels. He grabbed 2.0 sacks.
Thad Miller threw for 314 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 18-36 with 0 interception.
Willie Hartfield was the best receiver in the league this week as Hattiesburg bested Harrison Central. Hartfield racked up 5 receptions for 123 yards.
Gulfport's Miller and Richaud Floyd have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Miller has thrown for 1,373 yards this season, while Floyd has 34 catches for 502 yards. Tyler Polk from the Yellowjackets leads the league in rushing with 806 yards.
A big matchup in 6A Region 4 this week will be when D'Iberville takes on Ocean Springs. The Warriors are in third place, while the Greyhounds are in first place.
Ocean Springs took down Hancock 51-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
