Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Fisher Catholic). Everything went their way against the Fairfield Christian Academy Knights on Wednesday as they made off with  a  19-1 win. The  victory continues a trend for the Irish in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won five in a row.
 Olivia Haynes was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs while  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Vanessa Funk was  incredible,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  triple. Those  RBI were  her first of the season.  Aubrey Beaseau was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Fisher Catholic was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .533. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .304 or higher in three consecutive  matches.
Fisher Catholic's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Fairfield Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the  defeat, which was their sixth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Fisher Catholic will  challenge  rival Berne Union  at 5:15  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Fairfield Christian Academy is set to  take on  their familiar foe Grove City Christian  at 5:15  p.m.  on  the 23rd.
