The Idabel Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Stilwell Indians at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Idabel will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.
In what's become a running theme this season, Idabel gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They really took it to Ada for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-38 victory on the road. With Idabel ahead 38-16 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Meanwhile, Stilwell faced Fort Gibson in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Stilwell fell to Fort Gibson 52-46. Stilwell's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Snowda Watie, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Prairie Holmes, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Idabel pushed their record up to 14-1 with that win, which was their 13th straight on the road. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.77 points. As for Stilwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-3.
Idabel and Stilwell were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in January of 2020, but Idabel came up empty-handed after a 50-49 loss. Can Idabel avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
