The Episcopal Knights had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against Kinkaid by a score of 35-25 on Saturday. Given Episcopal's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Kinkaid is ranked 125th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kinkaid's loss came despite strong showings from Miles Roeder and Nico Gomez. Roeder rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown, while Gomez picked up 103 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The win (which was Episcopal's third in a row) raised their record to 9-1. As for Kinkaid, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Episcopal does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kinkaid also has no future games currently scheduled.
